TRUE WISDOM
Prov. 30:28
"A lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces."
I just glanced out
my window in time to see one of our little green lizards walk out from his home
in the flowerpot to the edge of the pool and back. It is a good thing the cat
is inside or that might well have been his last hike . . . Anyway, it reminded
me of the verse in Prov. 30:28 that says: "a lizard can be caught with
the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces." This is in a passage
that is supposed to teach us something about wisdom.
So what's the point? Well, wisdom is not being great or smart or powerful; the
lizard isn't any of those things. The lizard is wise because it is content to
be just what God created it to be. I hope I can all be that wise!
